John Goudie Lynch.

John Goudie Lynch,
a painter between two worlds

He never starts from a preconceived idea. He paints lines, colours and shapes that emerge gradually, as if from the depths of a dream. John Goudie Lynch, a Scottish painter based in Rodès, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, has built a body of work that is free, unparalleled and deeply personal.

He paints without any constraint
Each piece is distinctive, conjureg from within him, and a unique vision of the world.
He has a rare and recognisable style
Goudie always works in very thin layers, painted in colours and styles that have beacome his signature.
His cavasses are beautifully created
Oil on wood panel, painted right to the edges of the frame. Where others stop, Goudie carries on.
A world between dream and reality
Through everyday scenes full of fantasy and self-moquery irony, Goudie carries us into an imaginary, symbolic world we can all share.

Creative process,
from the abstract to reality

Standing before a blank panel, John Goudie Lynch has no preconceived idea of the subject he hopes to form. He does not stop at simple accuracy of proportion. He explores, tests and deconstructs lines and colours until a striking final creatio emerges.
